How to Cancel a Monster Account

After having my resume and personal information posted on Monster.com, I found it difficult to cancel. In fact, it seemed Monster purposely makes it difficult to cancel your account with them so they are still able to make your personal information available to others for spamming with e-mails. The e-mails you receive from third parties become excessive and frustrating. Obviously, Monster.com sells your information and e-mail for monies.

Here is how you cancel your Monster account much easier than writing them (which is what most people are instructed to do):

Cancel your Monster account online using the following steps:

1. Log in to your Monster account.
2. Click on Preferences in the upper right corner.
3. Under Resume Privacy click on Cancel Membership.
4. Click Cancel Membership once again.
5. Click Yes to confirm cancellation.

Heating & Cooling Repair or Service?

Dan's Oil Burner Service located in Stark County services many other counties with their furnace and a/c needs. Local owner, Dan Simmons, services and repairs all the furnace and air conditioning types that other companies in the heating & cooling business do not want to touch (such as fuel oil, radiant heat, heat pump, boiler furnaces, etc.). Of course, he also services gas and electric furnaces, too. Dan's oil Burner Service also installs new furnaces and air conditioning units!

Check out Dan's new website at http://www.DansOilBurnerService.com if you are looking for heating and cooling help in Stark, Wayne, Holmes, Mahoning, Summit, Carroll or Tuscarawas Counties (Ohio).

Haven't had much time to go visit Amish country this past year. We have been very busy with family, kids in school, college, etc.

We did pay a visit to Holmes County recently, and enjoyed dinner at the Amish Door with some light shopping at their stores. I had purchased some home-made ginger snaps and loved them. Fat-free, too!

The Amish countryside is about to change as Fall is here. If you get a chance to visit, be sure and do it in the Fall, as the leaves changing, fields being harvested, etc, make it a special time. You will not be disappointed. :C)

Gotta' Website Canton, Ohio?

Owning this Amish Country website and living in Holmes County, I recently found a pretty inexpensive website design and development company in the Canton, Ohio area. Unfortunately, down in Holmes, the pricing can get pretty pricey for website development. This company called Reasonable Websites helps you make an inexpensive website by showing up at your business directly and helping you develop your website on-site. Afterward, you should be able to make most of your own changes to your new site, like updates and stuff. Beats paying someone else some ungodly fee to do it for you. LOL

If you have a business in Stark County, Holmes County, Summit County or Tuscarawas County, I'd contact Canton Web Design and give them a shot.

Reasonable Websites has just re-done its web pages to reflect their new branding as Canton Web Design.

In order to reach consumers in the Northeast Ohio region, specifically around Canton, Akron, Summit and Stark Counties, Canton Web Design has taken a more direct approach.

There are businesses out there who want affordable website design, but also want control. Many web hosting companies will host your website, but then hold people captive when they need to update pages. Updates are either untimely, error-ridden, or quite costly. Even worse, some web design/hosting companies offer all three examples of poor business. Yikes!

Canton Web Design is looking to educate their customers and empower them to be able to produce their own web page updates. They do so by on-site training and dedication to the customer. This way, in the long run, the cost of maintaining a website is minimal at best. Of course, if you prefer they do all the updating for you, well they can do so reasonably.

If you live in Canton, Massillon, Dalton, North Canton, Alliance, Hartville, Louisville, Minerva, Magnolia, Carrollton, Navarre, Bolivar, New Philadelphia, Dover, Jackson Township, Stark, Summit, Carrol, Wayne or Tuscarawas counties, please give Canton Web Design a call or send them an e-mail!

Updates to the Amish Lodging...

We have now completed a comprehensive list of Amish country lodging at the All Amish! website, adding the Pennsylvania Amish Country Lodging to our lists of places to stay.

Due to the sheer number of places to stay, we had to categorize the lodging listings to the following:

Pennsylvania Amish Country Hotels & Inns
Pennsylvania Amish Country Bed & Breakfasts
Pennsylvania Amish Country Cabins & Camping

--------more news------------------------------------

We also decided to research wineries in PA, and found quite a list of Pennsylvania Amish Country Wine, along with Pennsylvania Amish Country Breweries! These newest pages were added to the Amish Food and Amish Country Wine pages. ;C)

Hot summer?

Wow, the last couple of days have been hot here in Amish country Ohio, but it is welcomed after a few weeks of cool weather.

We are working to add some listings of Amish Restaurants in Ohio, PA and Indiana. More about that in my next blog. I had the opportunity to visit the Louisville Eagles recently and had a good time, before heading back down to Holmes County. ;c)
